Kappa is a white plate with a matte finish and a sandwich structure. It consists of individual outer layers, in the form of cardboard and filling with polyurethane foam (PUR). It is most often used as an advertising board or a material for decoration. The properties of the plate play an important role here.
Features we appreciate in Kappa discs
We offer materials with a thickness of 5 and 10 mm. Each of them has dimensions of 1.40 x 3,00 m. The biggest advantage of advertising boards made of kappa boards is their low weight. They are distinguished by their lightness, ease of processing, and at the same time have a high rigidity. These properties determine the popularity of this material in the production of advertising boards.
Kappa is easily mechanically treated (cutting, milling), but does not crumble, thanks to which we will cut any shape from it and drill mounting holes.
The board has a flat and even surface, easily printed, the colors are highly saturated, therefore the print looks very attractive. As a standard, the graphics have an elegant, matte finish.
Kappa board is a soft material, we do not recommend laminating it, because it is possible to leave unattractive traces, e.g. fingerprints. However, if you want to achieve a gloss, we will bring the most suitable laminate – polymer.

What is worth knowing when designing a print for the disc?
Before you plan a print, be sure to pay attention to where your graphics will be presented, how it can be mounted. Also, remember to apply guidelines for the preparation of graphic files from the specifications available on our website. You will learn from it, for example, how to get an intense black color.
If your advertising board or other element from the board is suspended or visible from different sides, it is worth considering making a double-sided print. What will you gain? Visibility from different perspectives, faster attention, increased attractiveness and effectiveness of advertising. The one-sided print will work when the advertising board is to be mounted permanently on the wall or other media.
