Board properties – why choose to print on plexiglass?
Plexi boards are made of polymetacrylate methyl (PMMA), also under the names: Pleksa, Plexiglas, or organic glass. In our offer there are Plexi boards extruded in colorless and milk variant.
Thanks to their properties, they are one of the most popular materials used in advertising, construction, architecture and industry.
- Plexiglass is half lighter than glass, flexible, more durable and at the same time cheaper.
- In addition, it is characterized by resistance to load, resistance to weather conditions or high temperature – up to 70 C. This is especially important for external exposure.
- Both the plate itself and the printing made on it will not turn yellow under the influence of UV radiation.
- In addition to the personalization of the motif, we can also offer an individual fit of shape, because the plate can be subjected to mechanical processing (milling, cutting, engraving – colorless variant).
- It has a high sound insulation capability, which increases the possibility of applications in construction.
- PMMA slids are not destroyed in contact with delicate, non-alcoholic substances and chemical compounds.
- It is not toxic and easy to keep it clean, it has a food contact certificate.
